The best scuba diving location in Puerto Vallarta is also the beginning of the trophy fishing area. In the protected banks of the Marietas Islands, you'll find all the big game fish, such as Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more. The fish here are not regularly as large or as common as those at Corbetena, or The Banks, but they can often be, and we catch them here regularly. 18 miles off the coast, the Marietas / Punta Mita area can be fished well in 8 hours. Whale Watching
